City planners give go-ahead for £89m Strathclyde centre

The University of Strathclyde has been granted planning permission to build a 25,000-square-metre facility for the £89 million Scottish renewable energy Technology and Innovation Centre.

The university announced on 21 February that the contract to build a centre for the TIC has now gone out to tender. Initial work to prepare the site on Glasgow’s George Street is to begin next month.
