DH: antimicrobial resistance – extended spectrum beta-lactamase surveillance

The Department of Health’s policy research programme invites applications under its extended spectrum beta-lactamase surveillance priority.

This call is for research to improve the understanding of ESBL infections. The research should aim to generate knowledge that is of direct relevance to the NHS, will lead to changes that improve patient safety, reduce the burden of ESBL infection in the NHS and identify public health interventions that may reduce ESBL infections.
