The Department of Health, in association with Royal College of Nursing, Royal College of Midwives and other organisations, invites applications for its Mary Seacole awards.
These awards are available to individual nurses, midwives and health visitors in England for activities that improve health outcomes of people from black and minority ethnic communities. Two types of awards are available: Mary Seacole leadership awards, which provide up to £12,500 for enhancing effective leadership and communication skills; Mary Seacole development awards, which provide up to £6,250 for developing leadership skills.
