Forensics closure ‘will lead to miscarriages of justice’

The closure of the Forensic Science Service next month will result in more miscarriages of justice, according to UK forensic scientists surveyed by New Scientist.

The view was held by over three-quarters of 365 UK forensic scientists surveyed through the professional networking site LinkedIn. While many of the responses came from the FSS, some 65 submissions came from private and police labs.
