Universities can begin preparing for the Research Excellence Framework now that the Higher Education Funding Council for England has published the final criteria and working methods for the assessment panels that will judge their submissions.
The criteria were published by HEFCE on 30 January on behalf of all of the UK’s higher education funding bodies. This followed a consultation on draft plans that were published in July.
