Jodrell Bank researcher wins £30,000 in telescope row

Andrew Faulkner, a researcher at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics, has secured almost £30,000 in damages after a judge ruled that he was unfairly dismissed from his position, reported the Times on 16 February.

Faulkner, working on the Square Kilometre Array project, said he resigned after a “barrage of shouting” from colleague Mohamed Missous, who had accused him of being a “subordinate who had stepped out of line”.
