The Technology Strategy Board, in partnership with the Department for Energy and Climate Change, invites proposals for its invest in innovative refurb-programme.
The goal of this competition is to improve the energy efficiency of existing non-domestic buildings in the UK. The competition aims to demonstrate innovative refurbishments that reduce demand for energy and cut carbon dioxide emissions. TSB will award contracts to projects with the best energy savings and the best potential for roll-out. The competition will run in two phases. In the first phase, applicants will be offered a contract of up to £20,000 to produce a design, and in phase two, the best applicants will receive a delivery contract in the range of £100,000 to £1 million.
