The Food Standards Agency invites applications to tender for its enhanced molecular based surveillance and source attribution of campylobacter infections in the UK.
This tender is for a sampling framework for collecting representative campylobacter human faecal isolates over a three year period in the UK. As an example this could include collecting isolates from clinical laboratories in six geographically distinct areas in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Given the geographical spread it is likely that more than one laboratory will need to be involved. The project is envisaged to have a duration of three years with an option to extend for a further two years.
