EPSRC: high-end computing consortium

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites statements of need for high-end computing consortia.

The purpose of this activity is to assess which areas of science and engineering are needed within the EPSRC-supported portfolio of HEC consortia, and the level of support required by these consortia in terms of compute cycles on the national HEC resource, HECToR, staff costs for any code development work, core support for key codes, networking and management costs. Consortia will be funded for a maximum duration of five years and it is the intention that all grants will finish in March 2018, regardless of the start date. Funds can be requested for allocation units on the national HEC resource, networking activities, management costs and code development projects.
