BAE profits fall as US cuts defence budget

Aerospace firm BAE Systems has suffered a drop in profits as the US government curtails defence spending, the Telegraph reports.

The company reported a decrease in revenue of 10 per cent year-on-year, from £9.2billion to £8.3bn, for the six months to 30 June, the newspaper reports. Pre-tax profits fell from £691 million to £655m.
