Defra: green infrastructure as a catalyst for economic growth − an assessment of the evidence

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs invites applications for its green infrastructure as a catalyst for economic growth − an assessment of the evidence call.

The aim of this research is to critically assess claims that investment in green infrastructure can act as a catalyst for economic growth. This will be done through a review of the existing evidence including assessment of the evidence base behind prominent national and international case studies. Project teams must be formed of both economic and social science researchers. The project is expected to start in October 2012 and to be completed by March 2013.
