Engineering inequality stuck in the ‘80s, says MP

Despite assurances that women would be encouraged into engineering, only 6 per cent of professional engineers are women, Labour MP Chi Onwurah writes in the political news website, PoliticsHome.

According to Onwurah, nothing has changed since she was an electrical engineering student at Imperial College in 1984, when the proportion of her female classmates was 12 per cent.
