EPSRC: digital personhood – sandpit

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites expressions of interest from eligible individuals to attend a five-day interactive sandpit on the theme of digital personhood.

This sandpit, which will be held from 26 to 30 November 2012, will bring together researchers to create an integrated vision for future research, both those already working on digital economy, and others whose research could directly contribute. The following areas have been identified as the scope for this sandpit: overcoming barriers to the expression of digital identity; curating personnel, digital narratives; physical proxies of digital self; multiple, digital projections of self for good or bad; understanding how citizens could be empowered by utilising the value of their digital self.
