EPSRC: sustainable society network+ pilot studies and challenge fellowships

The Engineering and Physical Research Council, under the Research Council UK’s digital economy theme, invites applications for sustainable society network+ pilot studies and challenge fellowships.

The programme aims to enhance connections between research communities to create a network of researchers who take both a digital economy and a sustainable society approach to their research. Candidates may apply for short-term pilot study and challenge fellowship funding. Up to £200,000 is available to support several pilot studies of up to £50,000 each. Applicants within five years of the award of their PhD may apply for challenge fellowship funding, which is funding set aside for younger researchers. Projects are limited to a maximum duration of six months. Resources that can be requested under this call include investigator and research time, travel and subsistence, and equipment.
