Lack of engineers could damage economy, says survey

Employers are struggling to recruit engineers and technicians, according to the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

The IET’s annual skills survey found that demand for engineers is on the increase, with 58 per cent of companies interviewed saying they plan to recruit in the next year—up from 36 per cent in 2011.
