Plans for LHC tunnel unveiled

The tunnel housing the Large Hadron Collider is being eyed up as a home for a machine dedicated to studying the Higgs boson, Physics World reports.

Twenty physicists from Japan, Russia, Switzerland, UK and the US have suggested that the facility—to be named LEP3—could be built at Cern, the European particle physics centre near Geneva, within the next 10 years.
