Praise universities for outsourcing services, says Lygo

Carl Lygo, chief executive of the for profit education provider BPP, has written an article in the Guardian praising London Metropolitan University’s decision to outsource some of its services.

Lygo described the move—which will see all services except teaching and the vice-chancellor’s office outsourced in a contract reportedly worth £75 million—as a “masterstroke” by LMU’s vice-chancellor Malcolm Gillies.
