Tory rebel defends opposition to Lords reform

The Conservative backbencher who led a revolt against the government on Lords reform has reaffirmed that “the defects of the Lords can all be addressed without elections”.

In a letter to the Economist, Jesse Norman, MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire, claimed that the defeated House of Lords Reform Bill was “a very bad piece of legislation”.
