Discredited doctor Andrew Wakefield has failed in an attempt to sue the British Medical Journal for defamation, the Press Gazette reports.
Wakefield, who was struck off the general medical register for professional misconduct in his research linking MMR and autism, maintained that articles and a commentary describing the scare as “an elaborate fraud” were defamatory.
