‘Widen access or lose status’, Les Ebdon warns Oxbridge

Les Ebdon, head of the Office for Fair Access, has warned that the universities of Oxford and Cambridge will put their reputation at risk if they fail to offer more places to students from state schools.

Ebdon was speaking in an interview with the Guardian on 3 September, on the first day of his job as head of OFFA.
