Julian Huppert and Tim Farron top Lib Dem poll

Liberal Democrat party members have rated Cambridge MP Julian Huppert, who put together the party’s science policy, as having had a particularly good year in 2012.

Huppert’s popularity emerged in a free-text survey of around 400 party members, who were asked which Lib Dem MP or peer had the best year. Some 58 participants picked Huppert—in second place to the popular party president Tim Farron, who attracted 82 votes.
