‘Tightened’ research integrity concordat unveiled

Revised agreement introduces threat of sanctions for worst behaviour

Universities and funders have “clarified and tightened” a binding agreement designed to ensure high ethical standards in UK research.

Unveiled on 25 October by vice-chancellors’ group Universities UK, the updated Concordat to Support Research Integrity now includes the possibility of funding sanctions for the most serious cases of misconduct.
