Researchers report decrease in working hours amid increase in teaching and caring responsibilities
Covid-19 has resulted in an overall drop in time spent doing research, according to a survey of more than 8,000 researchers at universities and institutes in the UK.
Some 40 per cent of researchers reported a decrease in their working hours since the lockdown, with early-career researchers most likely to report the decrease.
