Experts question whether service may have broken data protection laws in handling of critical tweets

Academics and legal experts are asking whether the impact-tracking service Researchfish may have broken data protection laws by reporting academics to their funders for posting critical tweets.

Researchfish was accused of intimidation and bullying last week after it took issue with tweets aimed at the service, which helps many funders and universities track research impact, telling several academics it has reported them to their funders.
