Research community ‘must share responsibility of culture change’

Call comes as experts warn against use of “hard metrics” when measuring research culture

Experts have called for action to stop women and minoritised groups from shouldering the burden of research culture change.

Speaking at Vitae’s 2022 International Researcher Development Conference on 15 September, Karen Stroobants, a freelance research culture consultant, said small minority groups experiencing problems were often expected to take responsibility for culture change.
