Ministers need more social science advice, says Academy

The government needs higher-level expertise and advice in the social sciences and humanities, the British Academy has said.

The recommendation came in the academy’s just-published written response to the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee’s inquiry into the roles of chief scientific advisers.
