Skills shortage warning wins the day

Although there is “healthy supply” of strategic minerals and elements across the world, skills shortages and international relations could threaten their extraction, a group of debaters has suggested.

The conclusion was the outcome of a debate organised by the Royal Academy of Engineering on 1 November, which discussed the motion “This House believes there is no need for concern about the future global supply of strategic minerals”.
