Earth scientist Dan McKenzie wins Copley medal

Dan McKenzie, an earth scientist from the University of Cambridge, has been awarded the Royal Society’s Copley medal for his work on tectonic plates.

McKenzie won the prize for his “seminal contributions to the understanding of geological and geophysical phenomena including tectonic plates,” said the Royal Society in a statement.
