The UK government needs to set out a clear, strategic vision for medical research and innovation to remain internationally competitive, says a report by Cancer Research UK.
The report, Building the ideal environment for medical research, was published on 14 September. It provides several recommendations for supporting medical research, which it urges the government to consider when putting together its research and innovation strategy by the end of 2011.
