Engineers commit to diversity

Nine engineering organisations have pledged to increase diversity among their membership.

The Engineering Council and eight professional engineering institutions, including the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Institutions of Chemical Engineers, Civil Engineers, and Engineering and Technology, have signed a concordat.

In doing so, they have agreed to develop action plans for increasing diversity and communicating their commitment to equality, as well as monitoring their progress on both fronts.
