The Royal Society has selected 44 new fellows and eight foreign members.
Included among the fellows are Ara Darzi, director of Imperial College London’s Institute of Global Health Innovation, and Jon Crowcroft, professor of communications systems at the University of Cambridge, and an associate fellow of the university’s Centre for Science and Policy.
Of the society’s new fellows, nine are women. These include Joanna Haigh, head of Imperial College London’s Department of Physics, and Judy Armitage, director of the University of Oxford’s Centre for Integrative Systems Biology.
