Arthritis Research UK has launched a £3 million research centre to investigate the link between sports injuries and osteoarthritis.
The Arthritis Research UK Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis will be led by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and the universities of Nottingham and Oxford.
Staff will work on developing better screening tools and treatments for injuries to predict and lower the risk of developing osteoarthritis after a sports injury.
