Academy of Medical Sciences signs agreement with US Institute of Medicine

The Academy of Medical Sciences has signed an agreement with the Institute of Medicine, the health arm of the US National Academy of Sciences.

The memorandum of understanding, signed on 24 March in London, highlights the increasingly global nature of health challenges, and says that international strategies are needed to address such issues.

The two organisations plan to cooperate on strategy and to promote links and communications “where policy issues have an international domain”.
