National academies to collaborate on UK Future Earth

The UK's four national academies have established the UK committee for the international sustainability research programme Future Earth.

The British Academy, the Royal Society, the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Royal Academy of Engineering have announced that they will work in partnership on Future Earth’s UK platform.

Future Earth is a 10-year international research programme to provide knowledge and support “to accelerate durable transformations to a sustainable world”. It aims to develop a new type of science that links disciplines, knowledge systems and societal partners.
