Academy seeks input on interdisciplinary research

The British Academy has launched a call for evidence on interdisciplinarity in research and higher education.

In an announcement on 12 May, the academy said that it would be asking individual academics as well as university managers, funders and publishers about their experiences of interdisciplinarity, including any successes and challenges.

The project will investigate how interdisciplinary research is carried out, the level of demand, for such work, how academics can base their career around interdisciplinarity and whether the right structures are in place to provide the necessary support.
