IET celebrates reopening of its London HQ

The Institution of Engineering and Technology’s UK headquarters in London has re-opened following a £30-million, two-year redevelopment.

The IET London: Savoy Place venue will act as an “engineering hub in London for engineers everywhere” with spaces for engineers to work, host events, meetings and exhibitions. It features two new auditoriums, boardrooms and a library.

Current exhibitions include 100 Engineering Ideas That Changed the World and a display of the 126 Most Influential Engineers. The venue will host its first lecture on 14 January by Chih-LIn I, chief scientist of wireless technology at the China Mobile Research Institute.
