Royal Society expands policy team

The Royal Society is to appoint several heads of policy in a reshuffle instigated by the incoming director of science policy Claire Craig.

In the job advert, the society says that Craig, who starts on 1 February and has come from the Government Office for Science, plans on “making a step change in the scale, pace and ambition” of the institution’s policy work.

The society does not specify how many heads of policy it plans to recruit to its Science Policy Centre, nor does it say which areas they will be hired into, just that the detailed portfolios will be designed in collaboration with the successful candidates.
