History of art and statistics A-levels saved

Pearson, an exam board, will introduce A-level exams in the history of art and in statistics, after the subjects were dropped by another organisation.

In an announcement on 1 December, Pearson said that the qualifications would be ready for first teaching in September 2017, subject to accreditation by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation.

“The response from the public, from teachers and from young people shows how many people have a real passion for these subjects," Pearson said. "We are happy to make sure they remain available."
