Controversial company joins Campaign for Science and Engineering, an elite group influencing UK policy
Chinese tech giant Huawei has been given access to the heart of UK science advice by joining the Campaign for Science and Engineering, which describes itself as “the definitive voice for the science and engineering” that is “relied upon by senior politicians and civil servants”.
CaSE charges annual subscription fees of between £1,000 and £6,000, and its members are promised “opportunities to influence our message”, “unique access to information and networks” and opportunities for “co-authoring reports”, among other things.
