#DiscoverEconomics campaign aims to attract more women, minorities and state school students to the discipline
On 15 October, the Royal Economic Society is launching a three-year #DiscoverEconomics campaign to attract more women, minority students and students from state schools and colleges to study the subject at university.
According to the society, women make up less than 30 per cent of the student population in economics, and non-privately educated students are underrepresented.
