Muzlifah Haniffa recognised by Academy of Medical Sciences for research on the immune system
A researcher who helped map all the cell types of the developing immune system in the human liver, skin and kidney, has won the prestigious Foulkes Foundation medal.
Muzlifah Haniffa, a professor at Newcastle University and the Wellcome Sanger Institute, was awarded the medal by the Academy of Medical Sciences for her ground-breaking contributions to biomedical sciences, the academy announced on 19 November.
