Pharma calls for smart incentives to ‘pull in the research billions’

Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry’s election manifesto also calls for modernising R&D tax credits

The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry is the latest organisation to publish its wish list for the future government, calling for more R&D investment and a close relationship with the European Union.

In a manifesto published less than a month before the general election on 12 December, the industry body called on all parties to support UK science and research to “help maintain the UK’s position as a global leader in medicines and vaccines development into the future”.
