Anne Glover has taken the helm of Scotland’s national academy at a time of unprecedented uncertainty
Anne Glover (pictured) is not afraid of stepping into the unknown. The molecular biologist became the first chief scientific adviser for Scotland in 2006 and then the first chief scientist to the European Commission’s president in 2012.
Now, as only its second female president, she is leading the Royal Society of Edinburgh into uncharted territory as the UK attempts to disentangle itself from the European Union and Scotland struggles with the fallout.
