Cardiac disease charity sets up clinical research project

A clinical research initiative has been launched by the British Heart Foundation to tackle heart and circulatory diseases in the UK.

The project will enable researchers to meet both in person and over a virtual network in an effort to foster discussion between clinicians in this area. Announced at the British Cardiovascular Society Conference in Manchester on 3 June, it will be funded by the foundation and is called the BHF Clinical Research Collaborative.

The aim of the collaborative is to identify important clinical research questions, develop strong study protocols, help researchers complete studies effectively and boost both the capacity and the capability of clinical research in this area in the UK.
