The innovation charity Nesta has invited education technology companies to bid for up to £100,000 each to fund innovations that help teachers and students.
Nesta and the Department for Education launched the EdTech Innovation Fund on 4 June. It will support up to 20 education technology organisations in enhancing and developing digital tools that help with assessing students, marking essays, engaging with parents and timetabling.
The launch of the fund is the first step in a £4.6-million programme to support more effective use of technology in education, the partners said.
