Alzheimer’s charity sets out priorities for ‘dementia moonshot’

Report comes after Conservative government pledges to double research spending in the area

Alzheimer’s Research UK has identified priority study areas for dementia, following the Conservative Party’s election promise to double research spending on the huge societal problem to over £160 million a year.

In its 2019 election manifesto, the Conservatives said it would make finding a dementia cure “one of the ‘grand challenges’ that will define our future along with the impact of climate change or artificial intelligence”.
