Devolved nations ‘need more representation on UK R&D bodies’

Learned societies also call for levelling-up commission with representation from devolved nations’ governments

The devolved nations “lack adequate representation” on UK-wide decision-making R&D bodies, key learned societies from those nations have said while calling for this issue to be addressed.

The recommendation follows a roundtable discussion on the government’s R&D roadmap among the fellows of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the Royal Irish Academy, the Learned Society of Wales and the Foundation for Science and Technology.
