Jeremy Hughes is replaced earlier than planned by Kate Lee, former head of CLIC Sargent

Jeremy Hughes has stepped down early as chief executive of the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that funds and campaigns for dementia care research, after allegations of bullying at the charity.

Hughes was set to leave and be replaced by Kate Lee, the former chief executive of the children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent, in April. But he has left earlier than planned, with Lee joining the Alzheimer’s Society on 2 March.
