Westlake takes over from Hetan Shah, who left the society to join the British Academy
Former ministerial adviser Stian Westlake has been appointed chief executive of the Royal Statistical Society.
Westlake, who served as policy adviser to three successive ministers for universities and science, will take up the role in July 2020, the society announced on 28 April.
