Heart research funders award €4m to international projects

    

British, Dutch and German partners provide funding for projects aimed at improving diagnosis and treatment

A partnership of international funders including the British Heart Foundation has awarded around €4.3 million (£3.9m) to projects aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of heart and circulatory diseases.

Together with the Dutch Heart Foundation and the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research, the British charity awarded money to three international teams investigating conditions including heart failure, abnormal heart rhythms and the causes of unexplained cardiac arrests.
